what do you think of when you hear 'fall out boy'
do you think of some shitty band full of guys that no one cares about? is the first thing that comes to your mind ‘wow this is gay’ or some variation of how terrible you think the music and genre in general is? you probably think of emo fags, shitty haircuts and awful trends. if you do, then you havent discovered the magic. if you’re anything like me, when you hear that band name your heart skips a beat or two. when you hear a song when you’re at the mall or in a movie theater, you get a little too excited over it. fall out boy has shaped my life. sugar we’re goin down came on the radio when i was in 8th grade, and i’ll admit it when i saw a clip of the video on mtv i though it was pretty stupid. but when i heard the song, i couldnt get enough. i was hooked on the words and sounds that i was hearing and i needed more. i finally felt like i belonged and i finally felt like i wasnt the only one. fast forward a little to my first year of high school. i was one awkward freak, and i have no problem admitting it. i was weird. i was out there. to an extent, i dont blame anyone for making fun of me because i did deserve it. fall out boy was the reason why i befriended sam. we were best friends through fall out boy. the songs spoke to us both and we got it. we felt alive from the music. we saw them together may 15, 2006. we went on to see them again. and again. and again. i dont see any of it as a waste of money. our friendship isnt what it was before, but nothing can take away what we had. i’ll always know she will always have a place in her heart for them. fall out boy is why i have the friends that i do, why i have the interests i do and why i am the person i am today. i got into music from these four dorks and formed some solid friendships with some great kids through music. you think that fall out boy is lame, gay, stupid, shitty, posers, emo, garbage, a waste of attention and so many more negative things but you know what? no matter how many of you trash talk this band, there are always so many more of us backing them up. and we’re never going to stop. from fobr, to leet, to ock we love this band because we felt something when we saw them live. heard them blasting through our speakers. you cant take this away from us. you can trash talk them all you want but you will never change how much they mean to us. you cant see the hope this band gave me and so many others. we will defend them on the internet, at school and anywhere. you cant see the magic. trust me, you are truly missing out.truefuckinglove.
